ETL approval

THE IMPORTANCE OF ETL APPROVED EQUIPMENT:
In response to the many inquiries I get regarding equipment recommendations by those considering an at home protocol, I am going to post this and add it in files as well. While I realize that most are on a budget, and naturally want to find the most affordable option when looking at equipment, I caution you strongly to read this before making a purchase, and check that your equipment is safety inspected! I am hearing of problems with those that have purchased equipment that is not AAO approved and without ETL inspection approval. I have interviewed many doctors, and ozone equipment suppliers regarding this, and thus far have found the only manufacturer in N. America that is AOO and ETL compliant to be Longevity Resources. I am merely forwarding this information for the benefit of everyones' safety and well being.
NO ETL APPROVAL = RED FLAG! Please just be safe! Unsafe equipment can be dangerous and can make you sick!
PLEASE NOTE : ANY ozone generating equipment used for therapeutic purposes MUST use medical grade oxygen as it's feed source. If not, it will in all probability generate Nitric Acid as well as other toxic by-products and this will be detrimental to your health and recovery.
In addition to that, MEDICAL GRADE OZONE GENERATORS are constructed entirely of ozone resistant materials which again ensures that there are no toxic by-products in the final ozone product caused by the oxidation of the internal parts of the equipment. This toxicity can outweigh the benefits of the therapy.
ETL Approved:
The ozone generator industry is unregulated has more than its share of "home made" products on the market. If the products you are about to purchase has no seal of safety or quality, if the factory has never been inspected by anyone.you have no assurance that the product you are about to purchase is quality at all. It is likely home made in a garage or basement!
The ETL Logo is your proof of Quality, Safety, and professional manufacturing our ozone generators. You don't have to blindly accept anyone's word that their Ozone Generators are quality and professionally produced. You can think of the ETL Inspectors as your eyes into their operation. They have placed their seal of quality and safety on these products because they have inspected both the products and the factory.
What does "ETL Approved" mean?
ETL Approval is an internationally recognized seal of Quality, Safety, and Professional Manufacturing.
It is only granted to companies after rigorous inspections and testing of the product.
The product is taken from the company and completely disassembled. All components and the way that they have been assembled (right down to the wires) are inspected and compared to Canadian and US regulations.
If the product passes, the factory is then inspected for professionalism and to ensure that quality controls are in place. These quality controls in the factory ensure that every single instrument is the same high quality as the last one that was produced.
In order to keep the ETL Approval, Intensive Factory surprise inspections take place 4 times per year. If the factory does not pass, the ETL Approval is revoked.
If you are considering a product with no ETL, CSA, UL, or CE Approval, then you may wish to consider this: no quality or safety approval, means no ongoing inspections of product or factory. The only way to ensure you are buying a quality product is to purchase only quality and safety approved products.

I just saw this comment online regarding purchasing ozone equipment for at home use.  This comment spoke to me, as I have had this discussion before regarding the necessity of ETL inspection and good quality equipment.  It has been highly recommended by every doctor I have spoken to without exception, to be extremely careful when buying equipment.  As far as I know, there is only one brand that is AAO approved and that is Longevity.  I know some who have purchased elsewhere, but still too soon to determine what, if any, issues they may come up against.  It is my understanding that it is extremely important to know the exact ozone concentration you are delivering.  Here is the comment I found:

Since you own a Synergy Labs machine, I'm very much interested in your opinion on the machine. There is very little information on the internet about this machine and user opinions are few to come by. I have contacted John, the maker of the machine, but he does not appear to be very technical.

The single biggest question I have is the control of its output ozone concentration. There is no calibration chart of any kind available for this machine, even from John himself. He does not seem to be very concerned with this aspect of the machine, but this surprises me because it is the one parameter that most protocols are quite specific about.

As well, since the machine is not professionally certified, I have some doubts on what it claims. I would be a lot more comfortable about what is claimed about a machine if it is independently verified by a third-party, but such is not the case.
