coffee enemas

The first step to a healthy you is a healthy liver.  I will never forget, a chinese healer "guru" that I used to see every week while living on Maui used to always say to me "Love your liver"!  he used to do "liver rubs" on me, and acupuncture to support general preventative health, (this was years before becoming sick), and have me drink these horrible tasting chinese herb teas, all to cleanse and better support my liver.

Since getting Lyme, I have been to many ND's and without exception, every one of them, has told me to do these.  When my dad was sick with cancer, he was doing them daily as well.  It is a myth that you will become "dependent" on these.  In fact, you will most likely find that your system will work better should you ever go off of this protocol.

It is critical, to detox properly if you ever want to recover.  Probably even more important than which herb, antibiotic or other protocol you are on.

Not everyone can afford a sauna, but if you can, that, along with these enemas, are a great way to detox.  I personally rarely take an epsom salt bath, though they are great for detoxing as well as comforting for pain.  Dry brush scrubbing is also effective, as is drinking lemon water.  But this tops the list....here is the protocol.  If you have stressed about doing these, I promise once you do it, you will wonder what all the fuss was about.

Make sure you use ORGANIC REGULAR (NOT DECAFF) coffee

Coffee Enema Instructions
Keep in mind that coffee enemas are used to detoxify the liver, not to relieve constipation.  So even when your bowels are moving regularly they can have significant benefit.  The coffee is absorbed by your rectal veins and goes immediately to your liver.  It acts to stimulate your liver to release bile, and in the process toxins are released as well.  These enemas are amazing in their detoxifying effects.  It takes about a week for most people to get use to these enemas, so be patient with yourself.

1.     You can get all the supplies at the clinic dispensary.
2.     Drop 3 rounded tablespoons of drip ground organic coffee (not instant) per quart of water.
3.     Let the solution boil for three minutes and then simmer for fifteen minutes.
4.     Strain the solution, put in a glass container, and let cool to body temperature.  You may make all the coffee that you will be using during a day all at once, and just warm it when needed.
5.     It is best to use a hard surface like the floor rather than a bed.  Place a towel beneath you, and lay on your right side with your legs curled up toward your chest.  Adjust the bag height so that it is about 18 inches above your body.  Let one quart of the solution run in slowly enough so that it is comfortable.  You will get more used to the feeling after you have done this several times.
6.     Continue to lay on your right side.  Retain the solution for about 12-15 minutes, and then release in the toilet.
7.     If you can’t take the entire quart in one treatment, use ½ quart, and then immediately repeat with second half.
Any hot water bottle with an enema kit will do.  I found mine at a A-Z medical supply.  Here's a link to one online:
