Merry Christmas CDC
I thought about this a lot today. We all laughed at this picture; trying always to find the humor. But, the more I thought about it, the more it bothered me. It is so very sad that we have been given no choice but to succumb to the injustice surrounding a disease that has destroyed us physically, emotionally, socially and financially.
For those that don't "get this"....ask someone who has spent years battling tick borne disease, tens of thousands of dollars on medicines, has traveled hundreds of miles to countless "underground" doctors to get them, only to find they're not covered by insurance and don't work anyway, all to fight a disease that their government says doesn't exist, ....ask them; and they will tell you all about it.
These pill bottles don't simply represent pain, fear, loss, and abandonment, but the true spirit of those that, despite their uphill battle, are still able to muster up some laughter. I applaud each and every one of them.
